Customer: Digital Scale Manufacturer

Problem: Customer wanted a container designed to hold an animal during a computerized weighing operation. Product had to be easy to clean, light in weight, and tough.

Plastic Supply Solution: Plastic Supply of PA designed a box that fits over the top of the scale and provides an area for the animal to sit during the process. HDPE was chosen for the application because of its easy to clean surface, toughness, and weldability. The slick surface and low coefficient of friction of this material provides a surface that will not allow the animal to climb out during the operation.

# 2. CD/DVD Bulk Carrier

Customer: CD / DVD Manufacturer

Problem: Customer needed a transparent and reusable carrier for bulk CD / DVD shipments.

Plastic Supply Solution: Plastic Supply of PA vacuum formed end caps designed to receive a clear interior and exterior tube that hold the product and prevent sliding. The end caps were formed from Kydex sheet and the clear tubing is CAB.

Production Methods Used: CNC routing, vacuum forming, assembly

# 3. Bottle Positioner

Customer: Caustic Chemical Manufacturer

Problem: Customer wanted to fill 1/2 gallon bottles on an existing 1 gallon filling station without having to reconfigure the machinery.

Plastic Supply Solution: Plastic Supply of PA designed an HDPE bottle positioner which has the same outside dimensions as the 1 gallon container but holds a 1/2 gallon container. This allows the customer to use the same equipment without adjustment to fill both size bottles. HDPE was chosen for its chemical resistance, impact strength, and machinability.
